Parafield Airport Masterplan Approved

A master plan for Parafield Airport, aiming to create 750 jobs has been approved by the Commonwealth Government. Described as a “vision” rather than a fully costed project, the document provides a framework for ongoing development at the airport across the next 20 years.

The plan aims to improve the airport’s position as the state’s best aviation and pilot training centre and continue its development as a significant economic driver for northern Adelaide, the master plan reads. An enterprise precinct, housing a range of commercial, industrial and aviation industries, is also proposed with this precinct expected to provide 600 jobs.

The plan can be accessed on the Parafield Airport website.
